Set your iron resolution to one of 40 levels to more easily distinguish good targets from trash. - Digital target ID
0 - 99 scale makes it easier to distinguish targets! Targets are identified on the LCD screen by number. 1 is most ferrous; 99 is most conductive (thick silver registers in this range). - Ground balance
Adjust your detector to ground conditions wherever you are, reducing the effects of ground mineralization.- Manual ground balance: advanced users can precision-tune their detectors

Pros: Simply the best all terrain detector in its class. With features found on the higher priced models and water proofing which is not even offered on most high end models, you can use this detector nearly anywhere. I started metal detecting as a child in the 1970's with a Garrett Relic Hunter TR and more than 30 years later I'm still using a Garrett! Research your purchase well before buying and study the metal detecting forums online. You will find that the AT Pro is one of the most highly regarded detectors on the market today. Also, check out the 5x8 coil for this detector, its a great addition.
Cons: None found so far.
